The Beginning

This is my first posting so I guess I will start where this all began...

For years missions in Africa has been on my heart though I had no idea how or when it would unfold. This year God finally opened the door.

After a few years of having my heart completely broken for the lost I found myself on my knees praying "God. I am ready to go...only it overwhelming. There are hundreds of places, hundreds of organizations...I don't know where to begin...but if you give me a place I WILL go...only I need a real answer." Well within two hours I had my real answer...

A friend I hadnt spoken to in years contacted me and when I asked what He did He said "Well you will laugh at this. I work for a missions organization and my job is to counsel people who feel they are called to missions but dont know how to begin."

and so now here I am... ten months later preparing to leave for West Africa in less than a month. It has been an interesting time. Raising $18,000 is a pretty daunting task...but I am only $3000 away now and God has been teaching me so much trust through it and how He opens doors we never see from the least likeley places. And He has also been doing some tremendous work in my heart to prepare me to leave.

I am so excited to see what God is doing in Guinea and to be called to be ap art of it. Thank you all so much for your prayers and support! I will keep you updated!!
